The History of Bexley Art Group
The Bexley Art Group was formed over 70 years ago in 1942 and the founding principles of improvement, guidance and mutual benefit stand good to this day.
The Group has attracted many excellent amateur artists over the years, some of whom have gone on to exhibit their work at The Royal Academy and the Mall Gallery. Today, we enjoy an excellent reputation among contemporary amateur art groups and works created by our members can be found all over the world.
Some of our members have been painting for many years, others have only recently taken up painting, but we all share a passion for our art and are keen to encourage each other. We are happy to welcome budding artists, who aim to practise and improve their skills, regardless of ability.
